Mommy took Lucas and Megan to pick up a present for Daddy today after work. Mommy and Lucas discussed the present and how it would be a surprise for Daddy ... shh ... don't tell Daddy about it. We also discussed how we would hide it in the car so Daddy wouldn't find it until Sunday (we sang the days of the week song to get an idea of how far that was from today). Mommy tried to get Lucas's mind on other things on the way home so he would forget about Daddy's present. Within 10 seconds of seeing Daddy when we got home, Lucas blurts out "Daddy! We got a present for you! We have to hide it!" Good thing Mommy had the foresight not to tell Lucas what the present actually was.

Oh, the story is more exciting than the gift, though I suppose you should confirm that with Jim. It was a fluorescent light (flashlight) that uses his Craftsman battery. Lucas was just happy he got to give Daddy a tool. :)
