We took Lucas to get his 3-year pictures over the weekend. It took him a while to warm up, but we eventually got some really good pics. These are the raw versions of some of the good ones.

A Good Weekend
Saturday was the 3rd Annual Harvest Fest. For some history, our street is off of Harvest Drive, and they started a block party three years ago. Last year, they included our street. In addition to tons of food, there is a visit from the Fire Department and the Police Department, a Scarecrow building contest, a Baggo Tournament (maybe we can eventually convince them to call it cornhole!) and bunches of other stuff to do. Lucas even got to try a little street hockey.
Some cute after-fest pictures of Megan ...
Then it was off to the living room ...
... to fix some things ...
And finally a little reading with Daddy before lunch.

More Stuff to Play With
Lucas celebrated his birthday with Mommy, Daddy and Megan the day after his birthday. Mommy and Daddy figured they would spread out the gift giving a bit. :) Lucas mostly stuck to the toys from Mommy and Daddy that day, then spent the rest of the week pulling out a new toy each day to play with.

Happy 3rd Birthday Lucas!
Lucas started his official birthday celebrations at school with his classmates. Mommy took in some cupcakes for Lucas to share and some treats for Lucas to pass out to his friends.
He continued his party on his birthday. Lots of friends came over to the house to help celebrate and had some fun in the yard. Unfortunately, we didn't get as many pictures as we would have liked, but here are a few we did get. We also got a good video, but it's too big to upload.

Megan Starts Walking
Megan has been working hard on standing and walking. So, not to be outdone by Lucas's birthday, she decided to walk before her big brother turned three.

Celebrating Early
Grandma and Grandpa Suttmann sent some birthday presents to Lucas a little early, so he enjoyed opening a new present every day this weekend. Lucas loved his new toys and movies and books, but I think Cookie Monster might have been his favorite.

Lucas Shows Carl One of His Parks

Megan listens in on Daddy's conference call. Hopefully she doesn't share any proprietary information!
The advantage of a 5-point harness is that your parents are willing to help you swing higher. Lucas enjoyed showing Carl one of the new parks by his house. And since Megan stayed home with Daddy, Carl even got to ride with Lucas in the Burley (which he declared as "awesome").
