Lucas and Megan attempted a sleepover in Lucas' room last night. Attempted, because after two hours of playing around, they were sent to their own beds, but they had fun anyway. I'm not sure they had enough stuffed animals, though.

100th Day of Kindergarten!

Lucas and his class celebrated 100 days of Kindergarten today! Everyone made their shirts with 100 100s on them to wear for the day, and took in 100 of something edible and 100 of something non-edible ... for snack and to decorate their sign, respectively.
When the parents showed up for the celebration, the kids calmly kept listening to Ms. Lisa reading a book. Impressive, considering that as soon as Ms. Lisa gave the okay, they all charged the parents and threw snowballs (cotton balls) at us. It was probably not easy for them to sit there hiding their cotton balls. :)

Play Date
We had a bunch of Megan's friends and their siblings over today for some lunch and some fun. I'm not sure if the play dates are more for the moms or the kids, but everyone has a good time.

Scrub, Scrub, Scrub
Lucas and Megan have interesting fascinations. Had to yell at them twice last night to stop cleaning the bathroom (with toilet paper) and get back to bed. Tonight, I let them fulfill their dreams ... a full hour, 3/4 a roll of toilet paper and some paper towels later, and they still aren't satisfied with how clean it is. Both were mad that they had to stop to go to bed because they weren't done.

Crazy Messiness
Megan's class had some sensory fun at school that we decided to duplicate at home. We took some old leftover newborn diapers and cut them open. The insides of 3 newborn diapers have the capacity to absorb at least 6 cups of water (we decided to stop at 6).

First Diorama
Lucas made his first diorama for school this week. Since it was of the ocean variety, Lucas started by painting the inside blue and then adding some coral and some Nemo stickers. Finally, some tissue paper coral, dangling fish and ... voila!

Fun in the Snow
Playing in the snow is fun, but it's even more fun when you get to do it with all of your friends ... and top it off with hot chocolate. :)
